Technical Analysis and Process Engineering Consulting

Scope of Functional Capability

Trimech can provide full analysis capabilities on a wide range of engineering functionality. This includes linear static and non-linear structural, steady state and transient thermal, natural frequency and frequency response including random vibration response, fatigue, drop test, kinematic and computational fluid dynamics. We principally use SolidWorks-based geometry, but we are not limited to this mode and can accept data in a range of neutral file formats. Our solvers are supplied by Cosmos, the analysis division of SolidWorks, and operate both inside and outside the SolidWorks environment. Our results will be presented in word/pdf document format, as well as eDrawings, AVI and tabulated data. We will provide design modification suggestions as requested. Our technical analysis capabilities can augment any part of your design process, providing additional resources to your existing analysis group or supporting your entire analysis needs. We are happy to provide advice on your analysis approach or provide recommendations or interpretation of your results.

Staff Resources

The Trimech design and engineering analysis team includes members of the application engineering staff with capabilities principally in linear statics, thermal and natural frequencies. The dedicated staff can bring the entire range of the Cosmos suite to bear on any problem and provide a range of support which spans simple consultative suggestions to a holistic design approach. Our analysts have extensive experience in the application of both the finite element and finite volume method with experience which includes aerospace, automotive, marine and civil construction. We have a combined experience of almost 50 years in the finite element analysis field. Our backgrounds include experience with projects including aerospace structural response to various vibrational inputs, automotive mechanical and structural optimization and marine application hydrodynamics. Recent projects have included random vibrations of electronic enclosure racks, cooling flow analysis and non-newtonian fluid flow for medical applications.
